Maybe you've seen these guy's at the "World's Largest Motorcycle Event" (Daytona Bike-Week), in concert at some of America's most famous music halls, performing for American Armed Forces at USO Shows in war zones and bases overseas, at Stock car races, in a video, or on the nightly news. Yes, make no mistake, they are the "World's Most Famous Motor Music Band!" and if you don't know them.................
In 1986 JB Walker started a small garage band. Writing his own songs (he
says that he thought nobody would know how bad they were if they were his). The
band soon started performing at Motel Lounges and Moose Lodges everywhere, yes,
The Cheap Whiskey Band was born. It wasn't long until his music caught the
attention of Nashville and they started recording their first single.

"The problem in Nashville," said JB, "was that they did country
music. We did too, but we also played rock & roll and we look like rock &
rollers. We just weren't accepted, we didn't fit in."

Then we met some Bikers!" The band quickly discovered that the
bikers liked all kinds of music, and this was right up the bands alley!
The band not only liked bikers, but the bikers liked them and an immediate friendship was born. JB Walker and his Cheap Whiskey Band were among the first bands to specialize in playing music for the Biker Scene.
However, it wasn't until Billy & Sally Stevens, owners of the The World Famous Iron Horse Saloon, put them on stage during Bike Week that the bands style, Motor Music, took off. They started touring in '91 and haven't stopped since and along the way they have managed to record six albums. Soon many Stock Car events were included in the bands bulging calendar and Motor Music started reaching a larger audience. Racing Fans were a natural to the Hard Driving sound of Motor Music, as JB puts it, "Why? Race Fans are real people, it's that simple."
JB Walker and his Cheap Whiskey Band are sponsored in part by:
THE WORLD FAMOUS IRON HORSE
SALOON, Brothers Magazine,
Bikers News, Goody's Headache Powders,
Bikers Live Magazine and
Daytona DILLIGAF. "JB Walker
understands that music is business and that business is what allows him to be in
front of so many people. He knows how to work with a company." says Gunther
Brecht publisher of Bikers News Magazine (the largest Biker magazine in
Germany). IRON HORSE Billy has said that " JB is like family, Bike week or
Biketoberfest would not be the same without the Cheap Whiskey Band & JB
Walker."

A major part of JB Walker and his Cheap Whiskey Band busy schedule is
serving their community either at home, in Georgia, across America or Overseas.
JB is an active member of the DOD/USO program, performing for American
Servicemen and Women around the world. Since the Gulf War JB & the band
have performed in many forward areas; Somalia, Haiti, Germany, Greenland and
BOSNIA to name a just a few. The band considers it an honor to take part in the
USO Tours and serve their Country and reminding our service men & women that
they are not forgotten.
With their Overseas Tours, critics and music
industry insiders agree that The Cheap Whiskey Band has played a major role in
making Motor Music so popular internationally.
On
a personal side, JB Walker is a Gold Sponsor of the March of Dimes Ride For
Healthier Babies and National Spokesperson for the Safety First Foundation. The
Band also contributes or performs (Free of Charge in many cases) for many other
national charities, such as, The MDA, ABATE, The MSF, BLOOD DRIVES and The March
of Dimes.
Being a spokesperson for the American "Working Man" and the
freedoms we enjoy in America, and the rights we don't want to lose, JB is
sometimes, reluctantly, at the forefront of many issues.
When
asked about this JB said "We play music! We play for people, dressed in
black and riding motorcycles, wearing Stock Car racing team colors and driving
pickups, or wearing a uniform and carrying a gun! It doesn't matter to us! We
love the audience and if they like our music that is what is important to us! We
are entertainers, not politicians! To say we play music for the working man
suits me just fine. Hell I am a working man!"
The band is composed of a close knit group of musicians. Some are with
JB all the time and others not, but they are all Cheap Whiskey Men:
