Wild Bill's ventures began several
years ago by parking bikes for the customers of my really Famous neighbor right
to the south of me, (maybe you've heard of him?) The World Famous Iron Horse
Saloon. Then we acquired the right to park bikes and set up vendors stands
across the street. IHS customers came with all manner of bikes, cars, trucks
& RV's by the hundreds, so we parked them, watched over their "wheels" as
if they were ours, and tried to make them all happy.
Then one late
night as Phil, Greg, Richard, Linda and myself ("Wild Bill") were all hanging
around the Handy Way parking lot eating Subway sandwiches and throwing our
empty beer cans across the fence into the Iron Horse Saloon parking lot,
someone made the silly suggestion, "Hey guys why don't we sell beer to the
bikers". Well that one thought started a chain of events that led to the
beginning of "WILD BILL'S BAR" located just north (about 200 feet or a good
throw of a full can of Bush beer), from the World Famous Iron Horse Saloon.
"Hey quit throwing away full cans of beer, drink 'em first!"
